Welcome

I seriously didn’t ever expect to be writing on a blog again. Not now, not ever. I did this journey years ago back in the aol days – remember the chat rooms? The sound of the aol login? Those were the days… and quite frankly I didn’t ever expect to do it again. But over the years since leaving my blog behind I have built up an anxiety of missing my creative outlet. I’ve since created a youtube beauty channel, have created a successful career in the beauty industry, and have even done event makeup… but nothing could quite compare to blogging as a creative outlet for me. There is something about writing my thoughts down and having them archived ever-so-neatly that just really inspires me… And then it hit me like a ton of bricks earlier this year: I miss my blog.

I told myself that I would have to commit and make sure that this isn’t a one-and-done kind of deal, so I really took my time to launch my blog. I have been working in the background for over a couple months now setting up my website, email, layout, and of course creating content. It’s not something I’ve taken lightly like I have with my blog in the past. This time it’s different. 

This is going to be a website for all things that feed my soul: lifestyle, decor, shopping, beauty, skincare, makeup, travel, fashion, and so much more. To say I have a specific niche would restrict me and that is exactly what this blog isn’t about: restricting my own creativity! I’m not sure where this will take me, but I can tell you that I am excited to take this journey! So thank you for visiting and welcome to queencarlene.com! ♡
